What made the flight even more enjoyable was the in‑seat infotainment system. I found a whole collection of my favorite bands—Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Queen, and many more. With great music and a smooth ride through the night sky, the hours passed comfortably.

We landed at Singapore Changi Airport around 4 AM. Despite being sleepy, the sheer beauty of the airport instantly woke us up. Changi is not just an airport—it’s an attraction of its own.

Soon our layover ended, and we headed to our gate for the next flight to Bali, Indonesia. By now, morning light was breaking across the sky.

We arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport with no hassle at all. Immigration was smooth and quick.
We had pre‑booked both our airport transfer and SIM card through Klook, which saved us so much time. Our driver was already waiting outside, and in no time, we were on the way to our hotel.

Our second day in Bali started early with excitement—we had booked a Nusa Penida Day Trip through Klook, and our driver arrived right on time to pick us up from our hotel. Still half‑asleep but full of anticipation, we headed toward the jetty.
🚤 Boat Ride to Nusa Penida – Blue as Far as the Eye Can See
At the beachside jetty, we had to remove our shoes because boarding was done directly from the shoreline. The boat was quite large and steady, and as soon as we left the shore, a world of blue ocean opened around us.
The water was so clear and endless that it felt like sailing through a painting. At one point, from the boat, I could even spot smoke rising from an active volcano in the distance—an extraordinary moment that made the journey unforgettable.
The ride didn’t take long, and soon we stepped onto the shores of Nusa Penida, one of Indonesia’s most beautiful islands.

Our third day in Bali was all about adventure, and we had pre‑booked one of the most exciting activities—white water rafting at the Telaga Waja River. We woke up early, filled with anticipation, and waited at the hotel lobby for our ride.

Day 4 began earlier than any other—we woke up at 3 AM, still sleepy but incredibly excited. Our plan for the day was something truly special: a sunrise trip to Mount Batur using a 4WD vehicle. Little did we know that the car doesn’t go all the way to the peak; it only climbs to the middle point. To reach the very top, trekking is required. Still, even the mid‑point promised stunning views.

Soon, our adventure began. The 4WD started climbing through the dark jungle trails. The higher we went, the colder it became. The vehicle bounced over rocks and volcanic paths, which made the experience even more thrilling.
After about 30 minutes of climbing, we reached what the driver called “the top,” though it was technically the mid‑point of Mount Batur.

Lucky for us, the sun was just about to rise when we arrived, so we didn’t have to wait long. As the sky slowly brightened, shades of orange, pink, and gold spread across the horizon.

Once back at Kuta Beach, we took a well‑deserved break at the hotel. The water in the pool was clean and refreshing, and we swam a few laps to unwind from the early morning adventure.

Day 5 was our dedicated Bali day trip, and we had pre‑booked a private car to explore some of the island’s most iconic attractions. Our driver arrived right on time in the morning, and we began our journey filled with excitement and curiosity.
🛕 Tanah Lot – Temple by the Sea
Our first destination was the famous Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali’s most photographed spots. Even from a distance, the sight of the temple sitting on a rock formation surrounded by the sea was breathtaking.
We explored the coastal area, watched the waves crash against the rocks, and walked through the markets nearby. The souvenir stalls were filled with beautiful handicrafts, magnets, shirts, accessories, and local snacks—we couldn’t resist picking up a few items.
The atmosphere was peaceful, and the fresh sea breeze made the morning perfect.

🌊 Nusa Dua Waterblow – Beautiful, Even Without the Blow
Next, we drove to Nusa Dua to visit the famous Waterblow—a natural rock formation where giant waves crash and explode into the air. But unfortunately, when we arrived, it was low tide, so there was no waterblow happening.
Still, the place was stunning. The ocean looked crystal blue, the cliffs were rugged and dramatic, and the bright sun made everything shine. But the sun was harsh—directly above our heads—and we could feel our skin burning.
We admired the beautiful statue of Shreekrishna and Arjuna, standing tall and elegant. Since it was too hot and there wasn’t much activity due to low tide, we didn’t stay long.
🏖️ Pantai Pandawa – Kayaking in the Waves
Our next stop was Pantai Pandawa Beach, and the drive down the carved limestone cliffs was spectacular. Once we reached the beach, we noticed the shoreline had many small stones—walking barefoot could be painful—so wearing shoes was definitely helpful.
We went down to the beach to wet our feet, and then something caught our eye: kayaking boats.
Without a second thought, we decided to go kayaking.
The boat could fit two people, and the owner guided us into the sea. Kayaking through the waves for about 10 minutes was thrilling—the sea rocked the kayak gently and sometimes strongly, giving us bursts of adrenaline.

Our final major stop for the day was the legendary Uluwatu Temple, famous for its cliffside views and sunsets. There were many people there, all waiting for the sun to set over the vast Indian Ocean.
Since I was wearing shorts, I was given a sarong (cloth) to wrap around my waist before entering the temple area. This is part of Balinese temple etiquette.
We explored the area, admired the cliffs, and watched mischievous monkeys hopping around, sometimes trying to grab people’s belongings. The atmosphere was lively but peaceful.
Then came the highlight—the sunset.
The sky turned orange, pink, and purple, creating a perfect postcard moment. Standing on top of the cliffs while the sun slowly disappeared was truly unforgettable.

As soon as the sunset show ended, we headed back to our car and drove toward our hotel in Kuta. After resting for a bit, we went out once again to explore the nearby shops, food corners, and lively streets.

🌊 Day 6: Parasailing & Underwater Sea Walking – A Day of Thrills, Fear, and Unforgettable Memories
Our next morning in Bali started with excitement buzzing in the air. We had pre‑booked a water activities package through Klook, and just like every other day, the service was punctual. A car arrived at our hotel right on time and drove us to the activity center where our adventure would begin.
🚤 Arrival & Safety Instructions – Preparing for the Sea
Once we reached the spot, friendly staff guided us toward the registration area. Shortly after, our instructor gathered the participants and began explaining the activities ahead—parasailing and underwater sea walking. He also talked about the risks, how to handle them, and important underwater communication signals.
The environment felt safe and organized. The beach area was lively with tourists, colorful parachutes flying in the air, and boats zooming across the water. We could feel the adrenaline building already.

Parasailing was our first activity of the day.
The setup was smooth and professional. We were taken to a boat offshore, where the actual launch would happen. Once the harness was secured, we were ready.
Then suddenly—we were lifted into the sky.
The world below us became tiny. The ocean sparkled like a sheet of blue diamonds, boats left white trails behind them, and the coastline of Bali stretched endlessly. The wind brushed against our faces as we floated higher, feeling weightless and peaceful.

We took off from the boat and landed back on the boat with the same ease. It was one of the most calming aerial experiences we ever had.
But the next activity… had its challenges.

After parasailing, we got ready for underwater sea walking, an experience we had really been looking forward to.
We changed into special footwear and helmets, and then the team lowered a heavy oxygen helmet onto our heads. This helmet allows you to breathe normally underwater, but it was significantly heavier than it looked.
Then came the moment of truth—we slowly began descending underwater.

As the water level rose and we submerged deeper, I suddenly felt immense pressure in my ears. With each step downward, the pressure increased sharply. It felt as if my eardrums were about to burst. The discomfort was intense.
My companion, noticing the struggle, panicked immediately and insisted we go back up. The staff signaled us to stay calm and encouraged us to equalize the pressure.
After a minute of slow breathing and trying to relax, the pressure finally reduced, and everything felt normal again.

Our second‑last day in Bali began just as early as the Mount Batur day—we woke up again at 3 AM. Even though our bodies begged for more sleep, the excitement of the day’s plan pulled us out of bed. Today’s destination: Lovina Beach, famous for its dolphin‑watching tours.
We had booked this experience through Klook, and as always, the service was punctual. Our car arrived at the hotel before dawn, and off we went on a long drive toward the northern part of Bali.
🌅 Sunrise at Lovina Beach – Waiting for Dolphins
By the time we reached Lovina Beach, the sky was beginning to light up with soft hues of purple, pink, and orange. The fresh morning sea breeze felt refreshing, and fishermen’s boats lined the shore, ready to take tourists into the ocean.
We put on our life vests and boarded a traditional Balinese wooden boat. The ocean was still and peaceful.
After about 15–20 minutes into the sea, the first group of dolphins appeared—small fins cutting smoothly through the water. Our boat, along with many others, rushed toward them as they surfaced.
The dolphins swam quickly, appearing for a moment and disappearing again. At first, it was exciting to spot them, but as we watched longer, we realized something important.
🐬 A Sad Truth
Later, we learned that the boats themselves cause the dolphins to swim away, making them feel chased. Knowing this made us question the ethics behind this type of tour. While seeing dolphins was beautiful, the experience felt bittersweet once we understood the impact on the animals.

We spent some time here, enjoying the cooler climate and taking memorable pictures with the breathtaking mountain backdrop.

From Wanagiri, we drove to the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, located on the shores of Lake Beratan.
Surrounded by misty mountains and tall trees, the temple area felt serene and peaceful. The floating temple structure reflected beautifully on the lake’s surface, creating a picture-perfect moment.
This place is definitely one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in Bali, and we took our time exploring the gardens, walking along the lakeside, and capturing the stunning scenery.
🦶 Ending the Day with a Foot Massage – Pure Relaxation
After a long, tiring day filled with boat rides, waterfalls, climbs, and temple visits, we returned to our hotel area. Our legs were exhausted, so we decided to treat ourselves to a foot massage at a local salon.
It was the perfect ending—relaxing, soothing, and just what our bodies needed.
After the massage, we headed back to our hotel and ended the day peacefully, happy with everything we had experienced.

We made our way to the Sunflower Garden, and it was absolutely beautiful. Rows of bright yellow sunflowers stood tall against the open sky—a perfect place to relax, breathe in fresh air, and enjoy some sunshine between flights.

After spending some time exploring, we slowly walked to our boarding gate. Since we had already checked our seats in advance and didn’t want to rush, we calmly waited for all passengers to board first.

But after about a minute, the staff smiled and informed us:
