🌏 Day 1: Flying to Bali with Singapore Airlines – A Smooth Start to Our Indonesia Adventure

Our long‑awaited journey to Bali, Indonesia finally began with a night flight on Singapore Airlines—and what a fantastic start it was. From the moment we boarded, the airline lived up to its reputation. The seating was comfortable, the ambience relaxing, and the cabin crew as attentive as ever. indonesia bali parasailing, water rafting and more ultimate travel plan comes at last. Shortly after takeoff, dinner was served. As usual, Singapore Airlines didn’t disappoint—the meal was delicious and honestly one of the best we’ve ever had onboard.

What made the flight even more enjoyable was the in‑seat infotainment system. I found a whole collection of my favorite bands—Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Queen, and many more. With great music and a smooth ride through the night sky, the hours passed comfortably.

🌅 Arrival at Singapore Changi Airport – A Dream at 4 AM

We landed at Singapore Changi Airport around 4 AM. Despite being sleepy, the sheer beauty of the airport instantly woke us up. Changi is not just an airport—it’s an attraction of its own.

We spent the early hours wandering around and exploring its incredible features:

  • Butterfly Garden
  • Cactus Garden (an open‑air rooftop garden—such a unique experience!)
  • Beautiful rest zones, art installations, and endless stores

We even rode the monorail between different terminals just to take in the architecture.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have access to Jewel Changi this time, but it has definitely made its way onto our list for the next visit.

✈️ Connecting Flight to Bali – Breakfast in the Clouds

Soon our layover ended, and we headed to our gate for the next flight to Bali, Indonesia. By now, morning light was breaking across the sky.

Onboard, we were served breakfast—once again, absolutely top‑notch. The view from the window was mesmerizing: soft sunlight over the clouds, slowly revealing the emerald islands below as we approached Bali.

🛬 Landing in Bali – Welcome to Paradise

We arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport with no hassle at all. Immigration was smooth and quick.

We had pre‑booked both our airport transfer and SIM card through Klook, which saved us so much time. Our driver was already waiting outside, and in no time, we were on the way to our hotel.

Our hotel for the trip was Favehotel Kuta Square, conveniently located in the heart of Kuta. After checking in, we took a short break to freshen up after the long journey.

🌆 Evening Walk Around Kuta – Exploring the Neighborhood

In the evening, we headed out to explore the nearby area. The streets around Kuta Square are bustling with life, filled with shops, restaurants, and tourists wandering around.

We visited:

  • Matahari – a large market and shopping mall
  • Foodmart – a great place for snacks and essentials
  • Nearby food options including Yoshinoya and McDonald’s

It was a simple but refreshing first evening—perfect for settling into Bali’s lively atmosphere.

We wrapped up Day 1 early, as we had exciting adventures planned for the next morning.

🌊 Day 2: A Magical Nusa Penida Day Trip – Kelingking, Angel’s Billabong & Crystal Bay

Our second day in Bali started early with excitement—we had booked a Nusa Penida Day Trip through Klook, and our driver arrived right on time to pick us up from our hotel. Still half‑asleep but full of anticipation, we headed toward the jetty.

🚤 Boat Ride to Nusa Penida – Blue as Far as the Eye Can See

At the beachside jetty, we had to remove our shoes because boarding was done directly from the shoreline. The boat was quite large and steady, and as soon as we left the shore, a world of blue ocean opened around us.

The water was so clear and endless that it felt like sailing through a painting. At one point, from the boat, I could even spot smoke rising from an active volcano in the distance—an extraordinary moment that made the journey unforgettable.

The ride didn’t take long, and soon we stepped onto the shores of Nusa Penida, one of Indonesia’s most beautiful islands.

🚗 Exploring Nusa Penida – The Island of Dramatic Cliffs

We had pre‑booked a car to take us around the island, and our driver was ready to guide us through the day’s adventures.

🦖 Kelingking Beach – The “T‑Rex” Wonder

Our first stop was the iconic Kelingking Beach, often called the T‑Rex Cliff because of its shape. When we reached the viewpoint, I was absolutely speechless. The turquoise ocean crashing against the massive cliffs looked unreal.

We didn’t hike down the steep trail this time—it’s famous for being both breathtaking and challenging—but someday, we definitely will. Just standing at the top was enough to leave us in awe.

💎 Angel’s Billabong – Nature’s Infinity Pool

Next, we visited Angel’s Billabong, a stunning natural rock pool known for its crystal‑clear water. The colors, the patterns on the rocks, and the dramatic waves nearby made it feel like nature’s own infinity pool.

🌉 Broken Beach – A Natural Wonder

A short walk from Angel’s Billabong brought us to Broken Beach. The moment we saw it, we understood why many people call it the 8th Wonder. The giant circular cove with a massive natural arch looked like something crafted by an artist—not nature.

It’s one of those places you see in photos and think, “This must be photoshopped”… but it’s real.

🍽️ Lunch at Nusa Resto – Included & Delicious

By midday, we headed to Nusa Resto, where lunch was included in the package. The food was warm, flavorful, and exactly what we needed after exploring under the sun.

🏖️ Crystal Bay Beach – The Perfect Ending

Our final stop was Crystal Bay Beach. As soon as we arrived, I couldn’t resist—I had to go down to the beach. The name fits perfectly—the water was incredibly clear, sparkling like crystals under the sun.

It was peaceful, beautiful, and a perfect way to wrap up our island tour.

🐖 A Cute Surprise – The Pig Farm

On our way back to the jetty, we passed a small pig farm. There was one huge pig and a few little ones wandering around. It was a cute and unexpected stop that added a simple charm to the day.

⛴️ Back to Bali – Ending the Day in Kuta

We returned to the jetty, boarded our boat back to Bali, and once again enjoyed the ocean views along the way. Our transfer driver was waiting when we arrived, and soon we were back at our hotel in Kuta.

After a short rest, we headed out again to explore the familiar streets near our hotel—grabbing snacks, walking around, and soaking in the evening vibe.

We went to bed early, excited for the next day’s adventure waiting ahead.

🌊 Day 3: White Water Rafting at Telaga Waja – The Adventure Begins!

Our third day in Bali was all about adventure, and we had pre‑booked one of the most exciting activities—white water rafting at the Telaga Waja River. We woke up early, filled with anticipation, and waited at the hotel lobby for our ride.

Right on time, a car arrived to pick us up, and off we went toward the beautiful mountain region where the Telaga Waja River flows. The journey itself was refreshing, with lush greenery on both sides and the morning sun lighting up the rice terraces along the way.

We also saw active volcano erupts white smoke from its tops!

🚣 Arrival & Preparation – Gear Up for Thrill

Once we arrived at the rafting base, the staff guided us through the process. They provided:

  • A locker for our belongings
  • Safety helmets
  • Life vests
  • Paddles

We had already worn our beach/activity shoes, so we were ready to go.

The surroundings were mesmerizing—tall coconut trees, the sound of flowing water, and the peacefulness of nature all around us. Words don’t do justice to how beautiful the place truly was.

🌿 Rafting Through Nature – The Calm, The Thrill, The Drop

After a short briefing, we carried our raft to the river and climbed in. From the very first moment, it felt exciting.

The rafting experience was a perfect mix of smooth gliding and thrilling bumps. Sometimes the water was gentle, giving us time to take in the scenery; at other times, the rapids toughened up, and we had to paddle hard alongside our guide.

At one point, we stopped at a small waterfall. The spot was stunning—cool fresh water dropping from the rocks, surrounded by greenery. It was the perfect mini‑break in the middle of the adventure.

Then came the highlight:
a big drop—around 8 feet!

Our raft went straight down the slope with a splash. It was adrenaline‑pumping and absolutely unforgettable. The whole group screamed and laughed at the same time.

🍽️ Lunch at the Camp – A Perfect Ending

After completing the rafting course, we reached the final camp area. Lunch was included in our package, and the meal was warm, tasty, and satisfying—exactly what we needed after hours of paddling.

As soon as we finished eating, our driver arrived to take us back to our hotel in Kuta. We were tired but extremely happy.

🌅 Evening at Kuta Beach – Peace After Adventure

After resting for a while at the hotel, we decided to spend the evening at Kuta Beach. The atmosphere was peaceful—no rush, no stress. We sat near the large rocks, watched the waves roll in, and enjoyed the calming sound of the ocean.

Two colorful kites floated gently in the sky. Everything felt perfect.

🍔 Dinner & Early Sleep – Big Day Ahead

For dinner, we kept it simple and satisfying: a Big Mac with fries and cola from McDonald’s. After the thrilling day we had, it was the perfect comfort meal.

We went to bed early because the next day had even more adventure waiting for us—and we wanted to be fully energized.

🌄 Day 4: Sunrise at Mount Batur – A 4WD Adventure Into the Volcano’s Heart

Day 4 began earlier than any other—we woke up at 3 AM, still sleepy but incredibly excited. Our plan for the day was something truly special: a sunrise trip to Mount Batur using a 4WD vehicle. Little did we know that the car doesn’t go all the way to the peak; it only climbs to the middle point. To reach the very top, trekking is required. Still, even the mid‑point promised stunning views.

🌙 The Dark Journey to Mount Batur

The streets were silent as we left our hotel. Our driver navigated through the dark, winding roads leading toward Mount Batur, one of Bali’s most famous active volcanoes. The ride felt mysterious—just silhouettes of mountains and forests passing by.

After reaching a designated meeting point, we took a short break while waiting for our next vehicle: the 4WD SUV that would take us up the volcanic mountain.

🚙 Climbing Up in a 4WD – Through Forests & Cold Air

Soon, our adventure began. The 4WD started climbing through the dark jungle trails. The higher we went, the colder it became. The vehicle bounced over rocks and volcanic paths, which made the experience even more thrilling.

After about 30 minutes of climbing, we reached what the driver called “the top,” though it was technically the mid‑point of Mount Batur.

🌅 Sunrise at Mount Batur – A View to Remember

Lucky for us, the sun was just about to rise when we arrived, so we didn’t have to wait long. As the sky slowly brightened, shades of orange, pink, and gold spread across the horizon.

The moment was magical.

Clouds floated below us, mountains appeared like shadows far away, and the cool morning breeze made everything feel peaceful.
Our driver even helped take some beautiful photos—some of the best shots from our entire trip.

We spent a good amount of time soaking in the view before continuing our volcano adventure.

🌋 Walking on Black Lava Fields – The Heart of Mount Batur

After sunrise, we started exploring more of the volcanic area. The 4WD took us through vast fields of black lava, created from previous eruptions of Mount Batur. The landscape looked almost unreal—like something from another planet.

We got down, walked around the lava fields, and admired the textures and formations. The entire scenery reminded us of how powerful nature truly is.

Coffee Plantation Stop – Tasting Bali’s Flavors

On our way back, the tour made a stop at a local coffee production spot. Here, we were welcomed with a tasting session featuring various types of coffee and tea.

Among them was the famous Luwak Coffee, known as one of the most expensive coffees in the world. We learned a bit about how it’s produced and enjoyed the unique flavors offered.

After spending some time there, we continued our journey back to the hotel.

indonesia bali parasailing waterrafting and more ultimate guide.

🏊 Hotel Pool Time – Relaxing After the Adventure

Once back at Kuta Beach, we took a well‑deserved break at the hotel. The water in the pool was clean and refreshing, and we swam a few laps to unwind from the early morning adventure.

🛍️ Afternoon Walk & Shopping

Later in the afternoon, we went out again to explore the area around our hotel. We visited nearby markets, checked out some shops, and casually strolled through the lively streets of Kuta.

It was a calmer end to a day filled with early mornings, mountains, lava fields, and unforgettable views.

🏝️ Day 5: Exploring Bali’s Iconic Landmarks – Tanah Lot, Nusa Dua Waterblow, Pandawa Beach & Uluwatu Sunset

Day 5 was our dedicated Bali day trip, and we had pre‑booked a private car to explore some of the island’s most iconic attractions. Our driver arrived right on time in the morning, and we began our journey filled with excitement and curiosity.

🛕 Tanah Lot – Temple by the Sea

Our first destination was the famous Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali’s most photographed spots. Even from a distance, the sight of the temple sitting on a rock formation surrounded by the sea was breathtaking.

We explored the coastal area, watched the waves crash against the rocks, and walked through the markets nearby. The souvenir stalls were filled with beautiful handicrafts, magnets, shirts, accessories, and local snacks—we couldn’t resist picking up a few items.

The atmosphere was peaceful, and the fresh sea breeze made the morning perfect.

🌊 Nusa Dua Waterblow – Beautiful, Even Without the Blow

Next, we drove to Nusa Dua to visit the famous Waterblow—a natural rock formation where giant waves crash and explode into the air. But unfortunately, when we arrived, it was low tide, so there was no waterblow happening.

Still, the place was stunning. The ocean looked crystal blue, the cliffs were rugged and dramatic, and the bright sun made everything shine. But the sun was harsh—directly above our heads—and we could feel our skin burning.

We admired the beautiful statue of Shreekrishna and Arjuna, standing tall and elegant. Since it was too hot and there wasn’t much activity due to low tide, we didn’t stay long.

🏖️ Pantai Pandawa – Kayaking in the Waves

Our next stop was Pantai Pandawa Beach, and the drive down the carved limestone cliffs was spectacular. Once we reached the beach, we noticed the shoreline had many small stones—walking barefoot could be painful—so wearing shoes was definitely helpful.

We went down to the beach to wet our feet, and then something caught our eye: kayaking boats.

Without a second thought, we decided to go kayaking.
The boat could fit two people, and the owner guided us into the sea. Kayaking through the waves for about 10 minutes was thrilling—the sea rocked the kayak gently and sometimes strongly, giving us bursts of adrenaline.

After finishing our kayaking adventure, we returned to shore, changed clothes, and continued our day’s journey.

🌅 Uluwatu Temple – Sunset & Monkeys Everywhere

Our final major stop for the day was the legendary Uluwatu Temple, famous for its cliffside views and sunsets. There were many people there, all waiting for the sun to set over the vast Indian Ocean.

Since I was wearing shorts, I was given a sarong (cloth) to wrap around my waist before entering the temple area. This is part of Balinese temple etiquette.

We explored the area, admired the cliffs, and watched mischievous monkeys hopping around, sometimes trying to grab people’s belongings. The atmosphere was lively but peaceful.

Then came the highlight—the sunset.
The sky turned orange, pink, and purple, creating a perfect postcard moment. Standing on top of the cliffs while the sun slowly disappeared was truly unforgettable.

🚗 Return to Kuta – Evening Exploration

As soon as the sunset show ended, we headed back to our car and drove toward our hotel in Kuta. After resting for a bit, we went out once again to explore the nearby shops, food corners, and lively streets.

It was a simple end to a day full of sightseeing, sun, waves, and some of Bali’s most iconic locations.

🌊 Day 6: Parasailing & Underwater Sea Walking – A Day of Thrills, Fear, and Unforgettable Memories

Our next morning in Bali started with excitement buzzing in the air. We had pre‑booked a water activities package through Klook, and just like every other day, the service was punctual. A car arrived at our hotel right on time and drove us to the activity center where our adventure would begin.

🚤 Arrival & Safety Instructions – Preparing for the Sea

Once we reached the spot, friendly staff guided us toward the registration area. Shortly after, our instructor gathered the participants and began explaining the activities ahead—parasailing and underwater sea walking. He also talked about the risks, how to handle them, and important underwater communication signals.

The environment felt safe and organized. The beach area was lively with tourists, colorful parachutes flying in the air, and boats zooming across the water. We could feel the adrenaline building already.

🪂 Parasailing – Flying Over Bali’s Blue Paradise

Parasailing was our first activity of the day.

The setup was smooth and professional. We were taken to a boat offshore, where the actual launch would happen. Once the harness was secured, we were ready.

Then suddenly—we were lifted into the sky.

The world below us became tiny. The ocean sparkled like a sheet of blue diamonds, boats left white trails behind them, and the coastline of Bali stretched endlessly. The wind brushed against our faces as we floated higher, feeling weightless and peaceful.

Everything felt perfect—smooth, controlled, and breathtaking.
We took off from the boat and landed back on the boat with the same ease. It was one of the most calming aerial experiences we ever had.

But the next activity… had its challenges.

🤿 Underwater Sea Walking – Beauty, Panic & A Lesson Under the Sea

After parasailing, we got ready for underwater sea walking, an experience we had really been looking forward to.

We changed into special footwear and helmets, and then the team lowered a heavy oxygen helmet onto our heads. This helmet allows you to breathe normally underwater, but it was significantly heavier than it looked.

Then came the moment of truth—we slowly began descending underwater.

🌊 The Unexpected Panic

As the water level rose and we submerged deeper, I suddenly felt immense pressure in my ears. With each step downward, the pressure increased sharply. It felt as if my eardrums were about to burst. The discomfort was intense.

My companion, noticing the struggle, panicked immediately and insisted we go back up. The staff signaled us to stay calm and encouraged us to equalize the pressure.

After a minute of slow breathing and trying to relax, the pressure finally reduced, and everything felt normal again.

🐠 An Underwater World Full of Life

Once we reached the sea floor, the fear faded and was replaced by pure wonder.

Hundreds of colorful fish swam around us. We walked slowly on the sandy bottom, holding onto a metal railing placed underwater for balance. The water was crystal clear. At one point, we were given bread to feed the fish—and instantly we were surrounded by swarms of them.

It felt magical—like walking inside an aquarium, except this time we were the ones inside the glass.

Except for the initial hiccup, the entire experience was unforgettable.

🧼 After the Activities – Back to the Hotel

Once we resurfaced, we headed to the shower area, changed our clothes, and relaxed for a while. After that, the same car (included in the package) dropped us back at our hotel.

The adrenaline had drained our energy, but our hearts were full of excitement.

🌅 Evening at Kuta Beach – Peace After Adventure

Later in the afternoon, we went out to Kuta Beach, which had become one of our favorite relaxation spots. The sound of waves, the golden sunlight, and the chilled beach vibes helped us unwind perfectly after a morning filled with action.

We sat on the sand, watched surfers ride the waves, and simply enjoyed being present in the moment. Kuta Beach always had a way of calming the mind.

As the sky slowly turned orange, we decided to head back to the hotel and rest.

😴 Early Sleep – Preparing for the Next Adventure

Like most nights on this trip, we went to sleep early. With our bodies tired but our spirits high, we drifted off knowing that another exciting day awaited us tomorrow.

🐬 Day 7: A Sunrise Dolphin Tour, Waterfalls, Mountains & A Well‑Deserved Foot Massage

Our second‑last day in Bali began just as early as the Mount Batur day—we woke up again at 3 AM. Even though our bodies begged for more sleep, the excitement of the day’s plan pulled us out of bed. Today’s destination: Lovina Beach, famous for its dolphin‑watching tours.

We had booked this experience through Klook, and as always, the service was punctual. Our car arrived at the hotel before dawn, and off we went on a long drive toward the northern part of Bali.

🌅 Sunrise at Lovina Beach – Waiting for Dolphins

By the time we reached Lovina Beach, the sky was beginning to light up with soft hues of purple, pink, and orange. The fresh morning sea breeze felt refreshing, and fishermen’s boats lined the shore, ready to take tourists into the ocean.

We put on our life vests and boarded a traditional Balinese wooden boat. The ocean was still and peaceful.

After about 15–20 minutes into the sea, the first group of dolphins appeared—small fins cutting smoothly through the water. Our boat, along with many others, rushed toward them as they surfaced.

The dolphins swam quickly, appearing for a moment and disappearing again. At first, it was exciting to spot them, but as we watched longer, we realized something important.

🐬 A Sad Truth

Later, we learned that the boats themselves cause the dolphins to swim away, making them feel chased. Knowing this made us question the ethics behind this type of tour. While seeing dolphins was beautiful, the experience felt bittersweet once we understood the impact on the animals.

After spending enough time on the water, we returned to shore and headed toward our next destination.

🌧️ Gitgit Waterfall – A Refreshing Escape into Nature

Our next stop was the beautiful Gitgit Waterfall, one of Bali’s most famous waterfalls.

To reach it, we climbed down a series of paths and steps surrounded by tall trees, lush greenery, and the sound of flowing water getting louder with every step.

Finally, we reached the bottom—and the sight was totally worth the effort.

Water fell gracefully from a tall cliff, creating mist in the air and a soothing, natural soundtrack that instantly relaxed our minds. We spent some time taking photos, enjoying the cool air, and simply admiring nature at its finest.

After our short break, we climbed back up and continued our journey.

📸 Wanagiri – Scenic Views & Stunning Photos

Our next destination was Wanagiri Hidden Hills, a well‑known spot for photography.

The area is filled with beautiful viewing points overlooking lakes and mountains. There are also many Instagram‑style photo setups—bird nests, bamboo swings, heart frames—perfect for capturing scenic shots.

We spent some time here, enjoying the cooler climate and taking memorable pictures with the breathtaking mountain backdrop.

🛕 Ulun Danu Beratan Temple – A Temple Floating on Water

From Wanagiri, we drove to the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, located on the shores of Lake Beratan.

Surrounded by misty mountains and tall trees, the temple area felt serene and peaceful. The floating temple structure reflected beautifully on the lake’s surface, creating a picture-perfect moment.

This place is definitely one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in Bali, and we took our time exploring the gardens, walking along the lakeside, and capturing the stunning scenery.

🦶 Ending the Day with a Foot Massage – Pure Relaxation

After a long, tiring day filled with boat rides, waterfalls, climbs, and temple visits, we returned to our hotel area. Our legs were exhausted, so we decided to treat ourselves to a foot massage at a local salon.

It was the perfect ending—relaxing, soothing, and just what our bodies needed.

After the massage, we headed back to our hotel and ended the day peacefully, happy with everything we had experienced.

✈️ Day 8: Goodbye Bali – A Journey Home With an Unexpected Upgrade

Our final day in Bali began early in the morning. The excitement of going home was mixed with a little sadness—after all, we had spent days filled with adventure, nature, beaches, and unforgettable memories on this beautiful island.

We had pre‑booked our airport transfer through Klook, and as always, the service was reliable and punctual. Our driver arrived on time, helped with our luggage, and drove us comfortably to Ngurah Rai International Airport.

🛃 Goodbye, Bali – Immigration & A Final Glimpse

After a smooth check-in and immigration process, we walked toward the departure area. That’s when we noticed a beautiful statue inside the airport—something we had somehow missed the whole time we were on the island. It felt like Bali was giving us one last artistic farewell before we left.

Soon, it was time to board our Singapore Airlines flight.

🍽️ Singapore Airlines – Comfort in the Sky, Once Again

As expected, the service was top-notch.
The food was great—just as it had been on every leg of our journey. With friendly crew members and a relaxed atmosphere, the flight to Singapore went by comfortably.

We landed at Singapore Changi Airport for our layover, which had already impressed us when we first arrived at the beginning of the trip. But this time, we decided to visit a spot we hadn’t explored before.

🌻 Changi’s Sunflower Garden – A Bright Surprise

We made our way to the Sunflower Garden, and it was absolutely beautiful. Rows of bright yellow sunflowers stood tall against the open sky—a perfect place to relax, breathe in fresh air, and enjoy some sunshine between flights.

Little did we know, an even bigger surprise was waiting for us.

🎉 The Unexpected Twist – A Free Upgrade to Business Class!

After spending some time exploring, we slowly walked to our boarding gate. Since we had already checked our seats in advance and didn’t want to rush, we calmly waited for all passengers to board first.

When we finally walked toward the gate, the staff suddenly asked us to stop.

For a moment, we wondered if something was wrong.

But after about a minute, the staff smiled and informed us:

We had been upgraded to Business Class!
Not because we requested it, but because the economy section had become full.

We were shocked. Completely surprised. And incredibly excited.

It felt like the perfect final gift to end our Bali trip.

🥂 Business Class Experience – Comfort, Luxury & Pure Joy

As soon as we boarded, we understood why people rave about business class.

  • A welcome drink was offered immediately
  • Nuts and snacks were served shortly after
  • A full starter course followed by a main course—just like a five‑star restaurant in the sky
  • A large infotainment screen
  • A seat that turns into a bed
  • And the best of all: active noise‑cancelling headphones

The comfort was unmatched. I watched an entire movie in peace, enjoying every minute of the experience.

It truly felt like the perfect ending to our journey.

🌏 The End of an Adventure – With a Story to Tell

And that marked the end of our Bali trip—an unforgettable adventure filled with beaches, mountains, waterfalls, jungles, and a surprise business class upgrade that still makes us smile whenever we think about it.

Bali gave us memories.
Singapore Airlines gave us comfort.
And the journey home gave us a story we’ll cherish forever.

A perfect ending with a twist—one we absolutely loved.
